This web site was started over 12 years ago mainly because of the difficulty in finding "local" Ontario web sites, information and companies on the web. It has since grown into a very unique Ontario-wide web-search engine with over 10,000 local sites now included in the database... and growing each day.

At the time when we started surfing the web, we had trouble finding local information (especially for the smaller Ontario towns and cities) online. Even to this day it is difficult finding local information using the larger search sites like Yahoo, Google, Bing and others. These search engines generally cover all of North America thus making it time consuming to find companies located in Ontario or even in your own neighbourhood.

The SEARCHON.CA site is continually growing on a daily basis as new sites and information is being added. People are searching for local businesses, retail stores, real estate, tourist attractions, antique stores...
